I am familiar with Windows 10 Event Viewer and have experimented with many different logs in many different categories to no avail. Surely Windows must log this event somewhere. I can't find anyone else who has asked this question and gotten a definitive answer.

Open File Explorer on the device. Backup the content of the folder. The next step deletes the custom views and you may want the backup to restore the views when Microsoft fixes the issues. Delete all View_X.xml files in the folder (it starts with View_0.xml and increments the number by 1 for each file).

just open event viewer, right click on the logs area you are interested in and then properties, you ll get the log file path. Does anyone know where the Windows 10 Event Logs are stored? I know you can access them with Event Viewer, but I want to know where it loads them from.

Today, it happened to me about 4 times within 4 hours. It's really frustrating as in the event viewer it's not giving you enough information what might have caused this. My guess is the windows update really did mess something up and now the laptop is literally broken because of it. I can't fully rely on my laptop now to do work. It's annoying ...
